Canoe-shaped plate in transparent glass with S-type orange and black murrine. Unique piece.
"The serie of transparent murrine includes plates of different sizes: circular, canoe and hollow; made with transparent and semi-opaque murrine of various types that in a summary furnace table of the types of murrine, are marked with letters ranging from S to Z.The first examples were presented at the 11th Triennale in Milano in 1957, where they saw, among other things, some two-tone plates with a central core of monochrome square murrine surrounded by semi-opaque murrine of the S type.A more extensive review of this series, which documented the research and proposals of Paolo Venini, was exhibited at the 30th Venice Biennale in 1960, after his death."
